Japanese series The Days premiered on Netflix on 1st June 2023. The series will tell the narrative of the March 11, 2011 Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant accident, which resulted in Japan’s most violent earthquake ever recorded. The quake caused a tsunami, with 13- to 14-meter-high waves damaging the nuclear power plant’s emergency diesel generators, causing the country to lose power.
